| We are hobby breeders
of traditional, rare and unusual breeds of poultry, located between Ilkley and Skipton, just off the A65
in West Yorkshire. In the spring and summer
months we sometimes have hatching eggs for sale and occasionally young birds
throughout the year. We used to keep several different breeds, but
we have now decided to just keep the breeds listed below, so
that we can concentrate on showing and breeding them. |

Serama
(True Bantams) - The worlds smallest chicken! Agreat favourite
of ours we are completely captivated with these little characters.
There are over 2,500 listed colours and they don't breed true to
colour, so every hatching is a surprise. We seem to get whites,
buffs, white and gold pencilled and a variety of pretty mottled and
mille fleur colours too. We have been very successful last year at
the summer shows with these little birds and they always attract a
lot of attention as they pose in their cages. We will be showing our
birds again this year and look forward to meeting Serama friends old
and new in 2011. Children just love
them as they like being made a fuss of. I find them easy to keep,
but need to be in shed or similar during cold
weather. We don't sell hatching eggs from Serama as they are
notoriously difficult to hatch when sent in the post. We
occasionally have youngstock for sale. |

Russian Orloff (Large Fowl) -
This is a magnificent breed which I have kept for about four years
now, really started to seriously think about breeding them
this year and introduced some top quality stock. Hatching eggs for
sale and some young birds hatched 2011. |

Red Mottled Leghorn (Large
Fowl)- These birds really have the WOW factor! The colours of
the cockerels in particular are stunning. Like
all leghorns they are good layers and make beautiful garden birds
although they do need to be confined if you don't want them roaming
into next doors garden! We have hatching eggs and a few of these birds for sale at the
present time. |

Fawn & White Runner Ducks -
This is a new breed for us which we hope to show this year, we did
keeps whites and blacks too, but the Fawn & White are by far my
favourite, very eyecatching colour and hilariously funny to have
around. Hatching eggs available. |
